London: London is one of our favorite cities to explore. With its iconic skyline, trendy neighborhoods, world-class museums, and long list of popular attractions, there is no shortage of things to do here. It is also an easily navigable and friendly city, perfect for a first trip abroad.

Windsor Castle: Windsor Castle is one of the residences of the British royal family. This castle is located just outside of London, so it is easy to get to and well worth the visit. In fact, Windsor Castle is one of the best day trips from London.

Bath: Just a 1.5 hour train ride from London sits Bath, a city that holds the most ancient structures per capita in England. Here you can see the Roman Baths where the Romans worshiped the goddess Minerva, gaze at the intricate Bath Abbey, and shop along the Pulteney Bridge.

Cotswolds: Vist the medieval villages of the Cotswolds, a place untouched by time. These clusters of thatched-roofed cottages once ruled the wool industry in England, but then fell into an economic disaster and were never restored. Today, the Cotswolds invite exploration as they offer a glimpse into centuries of history preserved in quintessential towns.

York: York is a city with deep historical and cultural influence, with buildings dating back to the Viking, Roman, Georgian, and Victorian eras. Here you will get to gaze at historical cathedrals, walk the city walls, get lost along cobbled alleyways, and dine at one of the city’s 365 pubs.

Oxford: Explore one of the world's most renowned university cities, where great minds have left their mark. Tour the campus that inspired Hogwarts, have a drink at a rowdy pub, and see ancient collections at the city’s museums.

Stonehenge: No visit to England is truly fulfilled without witnessing this iconic ancient site. After 5000 years, the purpose behind the construction of this structure remains a mystery. Just 90 minutes from London, careful planning can even grant you a trip inside the inner ring of Stonehenge.

Lake District National Park: The Lake District is a beautiful nature retreat, with high peaks, natural lakes, and countryside pubs. Those who love to go hiking and kayaking will greatly enjoy this beautiful region.
