Best Time to Visit Wyoming
We recommend you visit Wyoming from June through October, especially if you are traveling to its national parks. From early November through late-May, many of the park roads will be closed due to snowfall. It’s still possible to visit the national parks in the winter, but you will get around by snowmobile or snow coach, which of course will be a much different experience than the summer months.
In September, temperatures cool down, the grasslands turn a vibrant golden-yellow, and crowds start to diminish. By early October, crowds are even lower and it’s possible that snow could be falling.
In the winter, Wyoming has much to offer when it comes to snow sports. From dog sledding, sleigh rides, to skiing in Teton Mountain Range, Wyoming is a paradise for winter recreation.
